Protein-Packed Avocado Toast with Spicy Honey!

Avocado toast is a classic that always hits the spot. Easy to make, nutritious, and bursting with flavor! In this blog, I'm sharing a must-try recipe you'll want to make over and over again.
Why Avocado Toast?
Avocados are packed with healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins, making them perfect for a nutritious breakfast or lunch. In this recipe, we combine it with fresh cucumber, protein-rich cottage cheese, pure honey, and a touch of chili for a little kick!
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 slice of (sourdough) bread
Half a ripe avocado
3 or 4 slices of cucumber
3 tsp cottage cheese
1 tsp raw honey from the beekeeper
½ tsp chili flakes
1 pinch of Italian herbs
1 pinch of Celtic or Himalayan salt
Step 1: Choose good quality bread— the fewer ingredients, the better. Bread should just be flour, water, salt, and sometimes yeast. Spread some extra virgin olive oil on it with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Opt for quality salt like pink Himalayan or Celtic sea salt.
Step 2: Toast the bread in a toaster. Alternatively, you can also put it in the oven for a few minutes or in an air fryer.
Step 3: While the bread is toasting, slice the ripe avocado and cucumber.
Step 4: Evenly spread 3 teaspoons of cottage cheese on the toasted bread.
Step 5: Place the sliced avocado on top of the cottage cheese. Then, add the cucumber slices. Sprinkle some Italian herbs on the veggies for extra flavor.
Step 6: Mix the honey with chili flakes in a small bowl. The more you add, the spicier it will be. You can also leave out the chili flakes if you're not a fan of spice.
Step 7: Drizzle the honey with chili flakes as the finishing touch over the toast.
